    About the Book :

    This book “Inclusive Growth, Education and Gender Equity” is the modest attempt to make a critical examination of gender equity in respect of elusive growth and education. The government of India is very much sensitive to uplift the status of women through inclusive growth. The government has adopted a multifaceted development strategy to address the needs of the women by ensuring their basic rights at par the male partners, needless to name them all, however, education and equity related strategies have gained the popularity. Educational and equity programmes are right-based approach for the social and economic growth of such excluded women who have been a victim of gender discrimination since a long.

    In recent years, Government has a significant role to uplift the women status through inclusive growth. A number of initiatives have been taken in the agenda of inclusive growth, like Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana, Maternity Benefit, Sukanya Smridhi Yojana, National Nutrition Mission, Ujjwal Yojana and Programme of Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao.

    About the Editor :

    Smt. Poonam Kumari is currently Assistant Professor in the Department of Education, A.S. College, Deoghar, SKM University, Dumka (Jharkhand). She has done dissertation in analysis of Educational Planning and Policies during her studies and is currently enrolled as a research scholar for pursuing her Ph.D. degree from SKM University, Dumka (Jharkhand).

    She has published a number of articles in national and international journals. She has presided and organized many national conferences and seminars. She has presented many research papers in National and International Conferences.

    Smt. Poonam Kumari is sought after resource-person and she has delivered several lectures at various prestigious institutions of higher education and training. She is closely associated with the Indian Economic Association (IEA), Economic Association of Bihar (EAB) and many academic bodies in the field of Education and Economics at the national-level.
