Prof. (Dr.) Tapan Kumar Shandilya, presently the Vice-Chancellor of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University, Ranchi (Jharkhand) is a dynamic personality with multi-faceted experience in academics and administration. Dr. Shandilya’s profile has a stint of over 30 years of academic experience. Prior to joining DSPMU, he also served as the Vice-Chancellor of Nalanda Open University, Patna, as well as Veer Kunwar Singh University, Ara, Bihar. He was also the Professor of Economics cum the Principal of College of Commerce, Arts & Science under Patliputra University, Patna. His dedication and commitment towards his work is unparalleled. Having a prolific teaching experience of more than thirty years, he has mentored several research scholars as supervisors culminating into the award of Ph.D. degree. He has published more than 100 research papers in journals of repute and has also authored many books which are available on the digital platforms. Besides this Dr. Shandilya was a former President of Indian Economic Association and is presently the President of Commerce & Management Association (CMA) and Bihar Economic Association. Dr. Shandilya was adorned with Life Time Achievement Award 2022 by His Excellency Governor of Jharkhand in the annual conference of Indian Economic Association. Dr. Shandilya is a proud winner of “Pride of Asia Award”. This award was conferred to Dr. Shandilya in Asian Leaders Conference, Bhutan on 22 June 2018.
The Authors
Dr. Debu Mukherjee, Assistant Professor, Department of Environmental Science, Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University, Ranchi (Jharkhand), has done Master Degree and Ph.D. in Zoology from Ranchi University and also done Master Degree in Environmental Science from Sikkim Manipal University, and has done Post-Graduate Diploma in Ecology & Environment from Indian Institute of Ecology & Environment, New Delhi. He has worked as Research Associate (Entomology) in Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR), in NICRA Project for five years at Palandu, Ranchi (Jharkhand). He has published more than fifteen research articles in various National & International Journals like in Nature, Elsevier, Springer, Taylor & Francis, etc. He is expertise in fresh and marine water ecology and various water quality analyses. He has been teaching in Zoology and Environmental Science since fifteen years. He is a good academician and researcher, moreover he has gathered holistic experience in various research based activity. Dr. Mukherjee has received Outstanding Achievement Award and CSER Research Excellence Award in the field of Zoology and Environmental Science.
Dr. Amrita Lal, Assistant Professor, Department of Environmental Science, Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University, Ranchi (Jharkhand), has done Master’s Degree and M.Phil. Degree from Ranchi University and Ph.D. in Zoology from DSPMU, Ranchi, and has qualified UGC-NET and number of papers have been published in many National and International Journals. She has also received excellence in teaching and the women Scientist Award. She has participated in several conferences, seminars, and webinars. She has supervised many students in their dissertations. She has a good academician and researcher.
Mrs. Soni Kumari, Assistant Professor, Department of Environmental Science, Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University, Ranchi (Jharkhand), has done Master’s Degree from Ranchi University, Ranchi and presently pursuing her Ph.D. from DSPMU, Ranchi. She has published many research papers in National and International Journals. She has participated in many conferences, seminars, and webinars. She has received the Young Scientist Award and has a good academician and researcher. She has expertise in Wetland Management and Conservation.
Mr. Sandeep Prasad, Assistant Professor, Department of Environmental Science, Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University, Ranchi (Jharkhand), has done Master’s Degree from Ranchi University and presently pursuing a Ph.D. from DSPMU, Ranchi. He has qualified UGC-NET (Five Times) and CSIR-NET. He has published many research papers and book chapters in National and International Journals. He has participated in many conferences, seminars and webinars, and received the Young Professional Award and Young Scientist Award. He has been a good academician and researcher. He is a National Accreditation Board for Education and Training (NABET) approved Functional Area Expert (FAE) of Category-B in Water Pollution (WP) and Air Pollution (AP) and Team member in Ecology and Biodiversity (EB).
Mr. Anushil Anand, Assistant Professor, Department of Environmental Science, Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University, Ranchi (Jharkhand). Mr Anand has done Graduation & Master degree in Environmental Science with specialization in Environmental Management, from Ranchi University and pursuing Ph.D. in Environmental Science from DSPMU, Ranchi. Mr. Anand has worked as Research Assistant, Research Associate and Clinical Trial Monitor in various projects for more than eight years in Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR RMRIMS Patna) and Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS Ranchi). Mr. Anand has expertise in Research Writing and published more than ten Research Articles and Book Chapters in various reputed National and International Journals like : The Lancet, Nature, Elsevier, Springer, etc. Mr. Anand has also worked as Jharkhand Head (Project Technical Officer) during COVID-19 pandemic on the behalf ICMR Chennai. Mr. Anand is Member Secretary of AAS Welfare Society. He got various Awards in different projects of ICMR. Along with all above he is a good researcher and a good academician.
