    The Book

Exploring Economic Dynamics : A Compilation of Studies on Trade, Investment and Growth in India delves into the intricate interplay between trade, investment and economic growth, offering diverse perspectives and empirical analyses to illuminate India’s evolving economic landscape. The book begins by examining the relationship between trade openness and growth, with a focus on the post-liberalization period, highlighting how liberalization has driven productivity, capital formation and macroeconomic stability. Statistical analyses reveal how trade policies influence consumer behavior, such as showrooming and webrooming, reflecting broader economic trends. Foreign direct investment (FDI) emerges as a central theme, with chapters exploring its impact on exports, imports, employment and innovation, particularly in developing economies within the Asian context. The book also investigates India’s foreign trade dynamics, including FDI inflows, the balance of payments and current account deficits, while evaluating bilateral trade relations with ASEAN and the UK to uncover opportunities and challenges. Blending theoretical frameworks with empirical evidence, this compilation provides valuable insights for policymakers, researchers and academicians seeking to navigate the complexities of India’s economic growth and its integration into the global economy.
