The Book
New Education Policy 2020 focuses on education that is fundamental for gaining full human potential, developing an equitable and just society and promoting national development. Thus, it moves towards less content and more learning about how to think critically and solve problems, how to be creative and multidisciplinary, and how to innovate, adapt and absorb new material in novel and changing fields.
By and large, this policy will be beneficial for the new generation. There is no compulsion to choose science, arts or commerce stream only. Children will take any subject according to their interests. The new education policy will help to re-establish teachers at all levels as the most respected and essential members of our society because they truly shape our next generation of citizens. It also provides a quality education system to all students with a particular focus on historically marginalized, disadvantaged and underrepresented groups.
