About the Book
The current book, ‘Terrorism : A Prismatic Analysis’ deals mainly with the problems of terrorism which is an all-time problem of the entire human community. Terrorism is the story about basic human relationships—power and struggles social behaviour—religion and politics. Some do it with their words, some with human will, and others with gun power. However, one question that remains unanswered is whose power—the state, the people or the militant? That is the enigma. The present book set out to give a connected account of seditious and terrorist activity in India. About the Author
Dr. Dibyendu Dasgupta M.A., M.Phil., Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Political Science, Parimal Mitra Smriti Mahavidyalay, Mal, Jalpaiguri, West Bengal. He has a total teaching span of about 12 years. He also taught the Post Graduate students of the Directorate of Distance Education, North Bengal University. He has to his credit a huge number of publications in both national and international journals and edited books. He has also presented several papers at National and International Seminars and Conferences. He is also a member of various academic bodies of North Bengal University and Gour Banga University, Malda (W.B.). As a teacher of Political Science, he has successfully conducted several youth Parliament competitions and had been a Judge in many such competitions. Prior to coming into teaching he also worked in two UGC-sponsored Major Research Projects as a Project fellow. He also worked as a Programme organiser under the National Service Scheme at the University of North Bengal. He is a Life Member of the Indian Political science association.
